When nineteen-year-old huntress, Feyre kills a wolf, a terrifying creature arrives at the families cottage. Seeking retribution, Feyre is dragged to a magical land she knows only from legends. Feyre soon finds her captor is not truly a beast, but one of the lethal, immortal fae who once ruled the world.
As she adapts to her new home, her feelings for her captor, Tamlin, turn from icy hostility into a fiery passion. Everything she knew about this beautiful, dangerous world turns out to be a lie. But something is not right in the faerie lands. An ancient, shadow is growing, and it's up to Feyre to stop it, or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever. This was a little out of my normal reads, but it was recommended by a friend so why not. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. I read the five chapters in two hours. Even though some parts were a little predictable, I fell for the characters and could wait to see how they got through each twist and turn.
